I just bought 5 of these things and they do not work. Office Depot advertises them as PS/2 keyboard to USB adapter. On the pouch containing the part they have a description of USB to PS/2 Keyboard Adapter. Not sure what to believe only that they will not work. I hope Office Depot will accept the return.

If you want an adapter that will attach a PS/2 keyboad to a USB port on a laptop or desktop, this probably will not work. I thought it was the least expensive option to accomp,ish this but it seems that PS.2 does not speak the dialect of USB, Therefore you can plug it in but it is not recognized by the PC as a PnP device. Tried it on two PCs and got the same result. Office Depoit was great in handling the retrun. But the product did not do what one would logically assume it would.

Just like other purchasers I found this adapter doesn't work. Three keyboards on three different XP PCs all report "unknown usb device."

Rated 1 out of 5�by sadone I could not get it to work at all - tried on 3 different keyboards. Read negative reviews and decided to try this one anyway since I've had a similiar one that works in reverse for a mouse for years and never had any trouble with it. Don't waste your money on this. Go buy a USB keyboard to start with and save yourself the aggrevation of this piece of trash.
